The B&B offers five guest rooms, each unique. All of our guests share a large, comfortable common area featuring a fireplace and great views of our country setting. There are two outside porches ideal for viewing the spectacular sunrises and sunsets we enjoy. By day, we are perfectly situated for 360 degree views; by night our clear, dark skies provide great opportunities for stargazing.

We’ll provide you with a hearty, gourmet breakfast. If you are planning for a longer stay, you may keep and prepare food in the common room kitchen for late-day meals and snacks. Beverages and snacks will be available each afternoon.

Teachers’ pets include two dogs who would love to be invited on your walks through the country, one cat (who is never permitted in guest rooms but will probably make your acquaintance on the porch), a love bird and several chickens who are happy to supply fresh eggs for your breakfast.

Your innkeepers, Laura and Ken, reside on premises in a separate suite—the Principal’s Office.

Meet the innkeepers

We are both Colorado Natives. We are avid hikers and backpackers with extensive experience exploring Southwest Colorado and the Southeast Utah canyon country. We’d be happy to provide route suggestions and share our guide books and maps with you if you’re looking for a great hike.

Ken, self-employed for the past 25 years, skis and plays golf when time allows.

Laura, a professional massage therapist, enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes.

We have both traveled all over the world and would love to compare notes with you about your own adventures.

The B&B is ideally suited for small weddings or group gatherings. We can comfortably accommodate 14 overnight guests (up to 20 in a pinch), or host a reception for up to 80 people. Our front porch offers a picture-perfect setting for an intimate ceremony and celebration. Count on us to provide light appetizers for your guests, or let us help you coordinate with a local caterer for a full menu. Give us a call to find out more about hosting your special event with us.

A break for Mom and Dad
We have a childcare provider right down the road from the B&B. She is state licensed to care for infants and children. Call us to find out more about this convenient service for our guests with kids.

Rejuvenation and wellness — professional massage therapy
Treat yourself to a massage right here at the B&B. Your innkeeper Laura Hahn is a nationally certified massage therapist who specializes in orthopedic and medical massage, centered on the healing and prevention of injury. You’ll find this is the perfect antidote for aching muscles after a hike or bike ride. She also offers traditional Swedish massage for a relaxing escape. Laura is a 1997 honors graduate of the Boulder School of Massage Therapy, one of the top three massage training institutes in the country.
Rates are $60 per hour, $75 for an hour and a half.

A typical breakfast at the Lebanon Schoolhouse B&B
Breakfast is served after 8:00 am. If you are an early riser, let us know in advance and we will prepare a breakfast for you the night before which you can heat up easily in the microwave.

We are always trying new recipes, so our menu changes with great new discoveries and seasonal availability. On any given morning you are likely to find some combination of these and other items on the menu:

pumpkin waffles with maple syrup or whipped cream
marinated french toast with fresh fruit syrup and ginger whipped cream
belgian waffles with cinnamon butter and dried cherry compote
huevos divorciados: fried eggs on corn tortillas with two homemade salsas and green chile
huevos motelenos: fried eggs on corn tortillas with black beans and fried plantains
southwestern breakfast scramble: chorizo, eggs, salsa, butter, avocado
baked oatmeal and fruit cups
sausage or bacon

And you can always count on fresh fruit, coffee, tea and juice.
