This room is located just below the original bell tower and you’ll sleep on a raised platform with full-size (double) mattress just under the bell. Don’t worry, we don’t ring the bell! Find privacy in the old teacher’s quarters. Built in 1920 to provide a home for the school teacher, it has been converted into a lovely guest house. The room is decorated in quarter-sawn oak antique furniture, including a queen-size bed, and features a rare mirrored hotel commode that has been transformed into a vanity sink. The private bath includes a shower. The Teachery has its own secluded deck and is linked to the main Schoolhouse by a short, lighted path through the trees.

This room is located in the carriage house loft and offers spectacular views from its own private balcony overlooking the San Juan Mountains, Mesa Verde Plateau and Sleeping Ute Mountain. Guests who stay in Social Study are often treated to evening glimpses of the deer who pass beneath the balcony. Vaulted ceilings give the room its charm, as well as a one-of-a-kind quarter sawn bedroom suite with marble tops and an original hand-silvered mirror. The room has a small refrigerator for you to store extra food (this is in addition to the common room kitchen which is available to all of our guests).
